Broad Mite
(Polyphagotarsonemus latus) Damage

Pepper  shows leaf elongation, rugosity and downward leaf curl

Potato shows leaf necrosis, particularly along the veins on the underneath surface with rugosity, and terminal growth is stunted, curled with rugosity; tomato shows symptoms similar to potato.

Common on leaves of many garden plants in tropical areas but can occur in the greenhouse and then transferred to the field in temperate areas; occurs on tomato, potato and pepper; note: requires high microscopic magnification to see and identify mites on the underneath side of leaves.
